Students with Reasonable Accommodation Requests
JWU is dedicated to providing reasonable accommodations to allow students with learning, physical or other disabilities to succeed in their academic pursuits.
While maintaining the highest academic integrity, the university strives to balance scholarship with support services that assist students with disabilities with functioning in the university’s academic environment.
Students with disabilities who need to request a reasonable accommodation(s) during orientation should contact the Center for Academic Support at 401-598-1485 at least two weeks prior to the program.
Change of Major
Many of our majors have specific academic requirements. Any change of major is handled by our Admissions team.
If you are registered with a major in Arts & Sciences, Business, Health & Wellness, Hospitality, Engineering & Design and want to make a change, call 1-800-DIAL-JWU x2310.
If you are registered with a major in Culinary or Baking & Pastry Arts and want to make a change, call 1-800-DIAL-JWU x2370.
Knife/Tool Kit, Text Book & Nametags
Culinary and Baking & Pastry students will be issued knife/tool kits, text books and nametags on the first day of class.
Uniforms may be picked up on Monday, November 27 prior to coming to orientation. Bookstore opens at 9am.
